13 November 2023 – Culemborg, the Netherlands – Newland EMEA, one of the leading companies in the AIDC industry, has launched a new IVD (in vitro diagnostics) product line for the healthcare industry and will be showcasing the new devices at the biggest tradeshow for the medical industry, MEDICA in Dusseldorf on 13-16 November 2023.
With the rapid developments in the healthcare industry and increasing demand for fast and accurate healthcare, the need for automated processes grows. Newland EMEA responds to this development in the market with its range of high-performance and user-friendly barcode scanners that are easily embedded into IVD instruments for ultrafast scan performance to improve the speed and quality of diagnoses, detection, prevention, and care.

At MEDICA, stand 12A49, Newland EMEA will launch the new product line and showcase its capabilities to the market. The product line consists of five powerful, compact, and rugged barcode scanners suitable for the IVD automated process. Newland EMEA’s IVD scanners are designed to provide more accurate and faster scanning solutions for the healthcare industry.
FM510
Available in horizontal and vertical versions, the FM510 is an ultra-high scan speed linear fixed-mount scanner optimized for IVD instruments and processes. It scans up to 780 scans per second and is optimized for IVD instruments with fast injection and high-speed carousels. Thanks to its specialized algorithm, it minimizes errors with a high decoding accuracy.
FM515
The FM515 for targeted applications is an incredibly fast and reliable 1D scanner with a high depth of field and aluminum housing for scanning printed 1D barcodes on long-distance and high-speed vials such as test tubes or bottles. It is the perfect scanning solution for multi-row insertion IVD instruments.
FM530
Boasting a large depth of field, the FM530 Ultra is a high-speed and reliable fixed-mount scanner that scans up to 780 scans per second for multi-rows manual injection IVD detection instruments with a compact design for space requirements and with an IP65 Sealed Housing to last in demanding environments.
FM550
The compact FM550 is optimized for reading barcodes both 1D and 2D barcodes at a shorter distance. It boasts a wide scan angle, double laser aimer, auto-ROI, and specialized algorithm, all for reading medical barcodes quickly and accurately, minimizing errors.
FM600
Another new and exciting product is the FM600, the fixed-mount Smart Camera. This is unique in the product range, as it's Newland's first Smart Camera. In addition to reading barcodes, it supports OCR recognition as well as performing advanced Vision tasks. From detecting a test tube cap, and recognizing fluid levels, to reading 96 data matrix codes on a microtiter plate, it can all be done with this powerful IP65 Smart Camera.
Next to the launch of the IVD product line, Newland EMEA will also showcase its healthcare-optimized handheld scanners as well as scanning solutions for patient tracking, patient self-check-in, direct part marking scanning for surgical instruments, and more.
